Hi friends,
This was going to be the biggest weekend of the year for our local Old-Time music community. Instead, a jam-packed weekend with workshops, concerts, dancing, jams and hundreds of jubilant cheers was eerily silent. My father and I are definitely bummed about the postponement of the Baltimore Old Time Festival but it was the right thing to do considering the current public health situation. Lots of hard work went into the festival but it was not time wasted. We really enjoy the process of putting it together, carefully piecing together the lineup and schedule, and working closely with Josh Kohn of the Creative Alliance and Susan Goldstein to assemble an epic weekend of fun, music and community. We deeply appreciate your words of support these past few days. We're grateful for such a loving and supportive community. We have indefinitely postponed the festival to the summer (date TBA). The party will go on... just a little later than planned!
You can support the festival by making a donation to offset a number of our unrecoverable expenses: DONATE HERE
You can also purchase one of our brand new hats or T-Shirts in the Festival Store
In other news, we just released our brand new album Stony Run this past Friday! Give it a listen - perhaps it will brighten your day :)
The Baltimore Old Time Jam will take a hiatus for the immediate future. We'll let you know when we'll be back. We hope to be back to jamming with all of y'all soon! Now is a better time than ever to hunker down and practice!
